How long does a recruitment video take to complete?

Turn around time is usually 7-10 days once we receive footage (larger projects may take longer to complete).

How long should a recruitment video be?

Coaches want to get a feel for a player quickly. The first 30 seconds to 1 minute of a video is the most impressionable. A longer video isn’t necessarily better, and coaches often won’t get through a video if it’s beyond 3 minutes. Ideally, a recruiting video is between 2-3 minutes.

Pro Tip: Add full game links (“Full Games on Demand”) to your CV so coaches can view additional footage upon request.

What special effects do you use in your recruitment videos?

Each video is created to showcase player talent in the most effective way possible. In general, coaches want to see real-time action as opposed to fancy editing (e.g slow motion, fast forward, etc.)—keep that for social media. Special effects can be an effective way to reengage a viewer or be utilized for certain clips, but recruitment videos should emphasize player abilities, not special effects. Flow, pace, and efficiency make a recruiting video effective.

Pro Tip: Coaches may have a stack of CVs and videos to review so you’ll stand out with a crisp and clear video.

What if I don’t have good footage?

We’ll work with what you have. Coaches understand that game footage isn’t always ideal, but it’s importnat to have a video if you are serious about getting recruited.

Pro Tip: According to NCSA, student-athletes with a highlight video during recruitment are 12x more likely to get viewed by a coach.

Do I need a CV with my video?

Submitting a CV is optional, but recommended for players serious about getting recruited. It’s a fast and easy way to let coaches know who you are. We include a custom CV (including player profile, video, and photo/intro video) with every recruitment video.

Pro Tip: A CV should be well organized, presentable & contain pertinent information. Don’t make it fancy—coaches want to see relevant content that’s legible.

Can you edit or add to a recruitment video that I already have?
